How do you play Pisti?
Pisti is played with a 52-card deck by two players or four in partnerships. Play a card matching the top card of the pile, or a jack, and you take the whole pile. Taking a single card with its match is a pisti. When the deck runs out the hand is scored; the first to reach the target (101 or 151) wins. Greek Xeri and Arabic Basra are close relatives.
How to play Pisti: full guide- 1Four cards go to the table: three face down and the top one face up. Everyone gets four cards; when hands are empty, four more each until the deck runs out.
- 2On your turn you play one card. If it matches the rank of the top card, or it is a jack, you take the whole pile.
- 3Taking a single card on the table with its match is a pisti: 10 points. A jack on a single jack scores 20.
- 4When the deck runs out, the cards left on the table go to the last player who took a pile. Aces and jacks score 1, the two of clubs 2, the ten of diamonds 3, and most cards scores 3 more.
- 5Points add up after every hand. The first to reach the target (101 or 151) wins; in partnerships points go to the team.

How many players does Pisti need?
Two players head to head, or four in partnerships. In partnerships, players sitting opposite are a team and their cards and points count together.
How many points is a pisti?
Taking a single card on the table with its match scores 10; a jack on a single jack scores 20. Taking a single card with a jack is not a pisti.
Which cards score points?
Aces and jacks score 1, the two of clubs 2 and the ten of diamonds 3. Whoever takes the most cards in a hand gets 3 more; on a tie nobody does.
When does the match end?
The table creator picks the target: 101 or 151. The first to reach it at the end of a hand wins; if both pass it, the higher score wins.
